About Me

Creative specialist with a fifteen-year background in design, event, production, marketing strategy, web, and client relations for a host of businesses across the US. Functioning in and leading teams of designers and developers to meet and exceed a client’s expectations, give them relevant feedback, and keeping projects on time and on budget.

Experience

Project Manager/Strategist (October 2006 to Present)

Development of business systems, internet initiatives and marketing practices for companies, both large and small. Clients include: SSOE, Inc., Aquent, Inc., International Paper, New Age Landmark, the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Village of Rochester Hills, Motor City Publishing, Capital City Vision Center, Century Plastics, Rehab Focus, Inc., Alliance Computer Services, Diversified Occupational Testing Services, Hall & Hunter Real Estate, Healthy Ventures, Urbane Apart- ments. Project scales and scopes range from development of corporate identity packages to full-scale business systems and analytics. Duties also include daily client contact, account management, billing and project scope development.

Creative Director – Motown Harley-Davidson/Buell, Taylor, MI (June 2002 – October 2006)

Directed the overall visual and communications presence for the largest Harley- Davidson dealership in metro Detroit. Duties included: design and direction of in-store promotions, direct mail campaigns, radio ad development and place- ment, outdoor signage design, internet website initiatives, database initiatives, promotions effectiveness charting, long-term event planning, public relations and press management, promotional and advertising print design, coordination with external vendors, and liaison with Motown customers at events.

Creative Director – Magellan Design Works, Ltd., Royal Oak, MI (August 1996 – June 2002)

Responsible for design and development of marketing materials for diverse client base, including Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Complete Eye Care, MacGregor Golf, Ingersoll Rand (Johnstone Fluid Products), Flint Bishop International Airport, Qualis Automotive, Pro Golf of America, Focus Golf Systems (Dunlop Golf), IBC Technologies, The Flint Cultural Center, and Magnus Software. Developed budgets and procured materials and equipment for clients. Advised on best business practices and optimal internet connectivity. Assisted clients in developing brand and marketing plans, as well as generated web-based strate- gies and marketing materials. Created print , internet, video, CD/ROM, and pack- aging materials. Secured sources for programming and application development.

 

Production Manager/Art Director – T.S. Jenkins & Associates, Flint, MI (April 1999 – August 2000)

Designed and developed marketing materials for clients such as Republic Bancorp, Eagle Custom Homes, Landaal Packaging Systems, Flint Cultural Center, and Community Foundation of Greater Flint. Budgeted and procured materials and equipment, consulted clients on web, print and video-based marketing projects, and developed computer network and backup system. Also, initiated assessment and strategic planning of website development.

 

Art Director – King Par Golf, Flushing MI (August 1997 – April 1999)

Developed branding strategies for four King Par brands: Knight, Affinity, Strategy, and Fortune Golf. Designed and procured packaging projects; developed product catalogues and integrated sales materials; and designed logo treat- ments for club casting processes. Consulted on computer and connectivity issues along with the assessment and strategic planning of website development. Provided overall assessment and reorganization of King Par advertising efforts.
